Visa
US, Japanese, and citizens of some other countries MUST obtain a visa prior to entering Brazil. Brazilian visas can be obtained at your nearest Brazilian consulate.
A Tourist visa should be sufficient for travel to the conference.
Most citizens of European Union countries do not need a VISA.

Travel Recommendations
Luís Eduardo Magalhães International Airport is 20 kilometers from Pestana Bahia Hotel where TOLL2006 will take place. Salvador is well connected to Europe with direct flights from Lisbon via Varig Brazil. Also Salvador can be reached by domestic carriers Gol Transportes Aéreos, TAM Airlines and Varig Brazil from Rio de Janeiro.
Getting to the Hotels
There is a fixed R$60 fare by cab from the airport to the hotels.
